HFH Team

Christine R. O'Connell-Behan:
Christine is the inspiration for Hugs for Healing.  Not only is she a survivor herself, but has experienced the disease from the viewpoint of a loved one, having lost her mother and two aunts to cancer.  She knows how isolating cancer can be, and how important it is to recovery to know that someone cares.  It is this, along with her belief to “pay it forward,” that has moved her and her family to establish the Hugs for Healing  Foundation.
Before starting the foundation with her children, Christine was a nurse and also owned and operated a convenience store with her husband, Paul.

Kristen M. Bullock:
Kristen is the driving force of the Hugs for Healing Foundation.  She has taken her passion for this cause and worked tirelessly to create a successful plan.  She has seen first hand how cancer affects a family, and wants to comfort everyone facing the disease.  Prior to joining her mother and siblings to establish the HFH Foundation, Kristen was a successful interior re-designer and business owner.

Kristen received her Associates and B.A. in Hospitality Management from Johnson and Wales University.

Sean M. O'Connell:
The only son of Christine Behan, Sean shares his mother and sisters’ belief in comforting everyone with cancer.  He has enjoyed a successful career as a golf professional, working at some of the top golf courses in the United States.  He will use his marketing and sales background to help grow the Hugs for Healing Foundation and bring his family’s support and comfort to those in need.

Michele P. Smith:
The youngest of Christine Behan’s children, Michele has also seen how cancer can affect a family.  Before deciding to stay home to raise her three children, Michele worked in various positions at some of the largest and most successful corporations in America, including McKinsey & Company, BancBoston Robertson Stephens, and Frito-Lay.  She is excited to work with her mother, sister and brother to bring comfort and support to those facing this terrible disease.
Michele received her B.A. in International Studies from Stonehill College and her J.D. from New England Law - Boston.
